I was painting a scene in North Carolina, outside of the quaint little town of Germanton. you don't have to drive more than a quarter mile, and another rural setting or tobacco barn is calling out to be painted. I was just finishing up a small plein air painting, and turned around to see a lone cow come out of a small barn and I thought, "I could paint that, he's not moving too fast..." when the rest of the family comes out to see whats going on. I decided to take a photo and and paint them later.
